The chief engineer of Iran’s Quds Force was killed in an Israeli attack

The chief engineering officer of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was killed in an Israeli attack in Iran. The Israeli army claims that he was killed in this attack in Mahalla, central Iran on Tuesday.

 

The Israeli military said in a statement that Wafai had advanced the ‘secret project’ in Lebanon and Syria for two decades as part of the elite Quds Force, which also included building infrastructure for Hezbollah and managing arsenals.

 

Wafai led efforts to establish underground infrastructure for Hezbollah and Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria, the IDF said. In addition, he has managed dozens of underground projects used for advanced weapons stockpiles in Lebanon.’

 

Iran was not immediately available for comment.
