What Khamenei said in the last speech

Iran’s supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint attack by Israel and the United States. Tehran confirmed the matter on Sunday (March 1).

He gave his last public speech 11 days before his last death. There he highlighted the need for deterrent weapons.

“‘we must have deterrent weapons”, Khamenei said in a speech after indirect talks between Washington and Tehran began in Geneva. If a country does not have a deterrent weapon, the enemy will crush it under its feet.’

He further said that preventive weapons are one of the requirements of our nation. Americans are interfering in this matter unnecessarily. You can keep such and such missiles, not more than such and such range.—‘ What does they have to do with it? It is a matter of the Iranian nation.

Referring to the military power of the United States, Khamenei said, ‘they think— and the President of the United States repeatedly said that the US Army is the most powerful force in the world. But even the strongest forces can ever get slapped like they can’t stand up straight.’
