Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah has claimed that an Israeli warplane was repelled during a possible attack in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the group said the plane was forced to turn back after it was hit by a surface-to-air missile fired by them yesterday evening.

According to Hezbollah, the plane was preparing to attack southern Lebanon.

However, Israel has not yet commented on this matter.

As a result of this incident, there is a fear that the tension in the border area will increase further.
